Our Journey So Far

2021, August

USF BULLBOT IS FOUNDED

At the start of the 2021 Fall Semester, four students selected the IEEE Southeastcon Hardware Competition as their senior design project. Steven Gonzalez was selected to join the IEEE  E-Board as the conference chair. Our group joined all conference communication and began work on the project.

2021, September

Our group decided to use the Jetson Nano and ROS to control our autonomous robot. We took online courses on ROS, the Jetson, and followed other projects that we believed would help our project. We began travel and purchase paperwork as well as completing requirement documents and Biweekly reports.

2021, October

Just as Apple began in a garage so did we before we secured meeting space in the IEEE lab on campus. We began holding weekly meetings for students who wanted to attend the conference to get more information. We purchased components such as the Jetson Nano, Intel Realsense camera and began working on the ROS for the Jetson
